Swimming Pond & Garden Design

The Swimming Pond Company can offer a design service that will guide the client through the design process from conception to completion ensuring a unique project, which will provide years of enjoyment and fun, at the same time making a significant contribution to the environment. The design process begins with a consultation to determine ‘client requirements’ which would usually take place during a site visit. The ultimate aim is to design the swimming pond in such a way that it blends harmoniously into the garden and its surroundings while being linked to the home in a stylish manner.

Site Appraisal

As a starting point we strongly suggest you visit our show swimming pond here in Bressingham, South Norfolk. We invite you to swim so that you can find out just how magical it is to swim in crystal clear fresh water.

In addition, you will gain a thorough understanding of how swimming ponds work and we will be able to answer any questions you might have.

Assuming that we are ticking all your boxes, we will then arrange to carry out a site visit and consultation.

During the consultation a thorough appraisal of the site would be made which would consider such factors as boundaries, surrounding landscape, soil type, existing structures, views from the house and aspect.

The site appraisal would be incorporated in a plan which would be drawn up to assess the opportunities (and constraints) of the project.

The ideas that evolved during the consultation would then be used to develop a ‘concept plan’ to be presented to the client for approval.

Design Proposal

The concept plan would then be developed to culminate in a ‘design proposal’ together with a quotation for the consideration of the client.

The design proposal includes planting plans and specifications for the project. Acceptance of the quotation would see the project fully constructed by a highly skilled team within an agreed time frame.

With construction complete, the swimming pond will become both the focus and heart of the garden during the summer months, but it can also, with careful consideration given to planting design, look good for twelve months of the year.
